firm was started by Ruth McClellan in 1949. She was born in 1910 and
was one of the first female attorneys in this area. She passed away in 1987. Mr.
Wilson was first her minister, then he became her partner in 1981. We
maintain old fashion respectability and treat all people with dignity.
We have two offices. The original Banning
Office is in Old Downtown Banning just blocks from the historic Fox
Theater. The Banning Office is open Monday through Friday 9:00 am -
5:00 pm, while our Yucaipa Office is open Tuesday and Thursday
afternoons from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. We have been in Yucaipa since 1993.
Appointments can usually be made in the same week of the initial call. |
Our
law firm has one Attorney and five hard working, competent legal
secretaries. The secretaries learn from on the job training and
attending numerous Continuing Education of the Bar classes, other
organizations' specialization classes and college classes.

SANDRA CONTRERAS,
Senior Legal Assistant
began her career
with Attorney Ruth E. McClellan in 1976. Mrs. McClellan (born in
1910) was the third female attorney to practice in Riverside
County. With Mrs.
McClellan as her mentor, Sandra attained firsthand knowledge of
the basics of Probate Law. Upon the partnership of Mrs. McClellan
and D. Hershel Wilson (McCLELLAN AND WILSON), Sandra worked side
by side with both, as their sole assistant. Over the years since
McClellan and Wilson was formed, Sandra further expanded her
experiences in other areas of probate law, including Living Wills,
Power of Attorneys, Spousal Property, Community Property, Living
Trusts and Conservatorships. Due to her extensive experience, she
has the attained great knowledge in administering some of the most
complex cases and is the mainstay of the office. |

DESIREE WARD, Legal Assistant was born and raised in Beaumont. She began working for McClellan and Wilson in June of 1998. She works on Conservatorships, Probates, Medi-Cal Petitions, Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorneys for Business and Health Care Directives as well as other areas of law practiced by Attorney Wilson. She is also the property manager for Wilson's Rental Property. Desiree has attended several CEB classes on Estate Planning and Administration, Special Needs Trust, Conservatorships and the Fundamentals of Probate & Other Nontrust Estate Administration as well as attending National Academy for Elder Law Attorneys Symposium and California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform Seminars. |

BONNIE CALDER,
Office
Manager & Legal Assistant
was born in New York. She moved to Banning in 1966 and graduated
from Banning High School in 1971. She has an Bachelor’s degree in
Behavioral and Social Sciences from Cal-State San Bernardino.
Bonnie started working for Security Pacific National Bank while
still in high school and worked in the banking industry until July
of 1999 when she accepted employment with McClellan and Wilson.
Because of her management and supervisory experience she was named
Office Manager shortly thereafter. She works on Wills, Trusts,
Powers of Attorney, Medi-Cal’s, Probates and anything where a bank
is involved. She has attended CANHR, NAELA, and CEB seminars and
UCR extension courses. Bonnie is also a member and on the board of
the Cabazon Community Church. |

ALICE DE LEON Office Community Liasison was born in California and grew up in East Los Angeles. Her family moved to Banning in 1991 and she has worked for McClellan and Wilson as a personal assistant since 2003. Alice assists in all the filings for court and handles all office events. Although Alice is a personal assistant to the Wilson family, she is also a valued representative of the McClellan and Wilson staff.

SHAWN PATTERSON, Certified Law Student grew up in Banning and graduated from Banning High in 1997. Shawn is a certified law student by the California State Bar Association. He is currently a third year law student at the University of La Verne. Shawn graduated from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Shawn served as a missionary for his church in Brazil and can speak Portuguese. Shawn resides in Banning with his wife and son. |

Legal Assistant
was born in Los Angles and raised in Banning, graduating from New Horizons High School in 1995. Has been with the firm since 1996. She works on Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Wills, Probates, Conservatorships and many other areas to do with Elder Law. She has attended has attended several CEB classes on Estate Planning and Administration, the Fundamentals of Probate & Other Non-trust Estate Administration and California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform Seminars. |
